INQ held the sixth edition of the My Northern Project science popularization contest that showcases the next generation of researchers from INQ-affiliated institutions who are working on projects in northern Quebec and the Arctic.
Congratulations to the six winners! This group will take part in the international final of the competition at the Arctic Circle Assembly in Iceland in October.

Northern Lexicon | Tundra

A "living definition" of the tundra as expressed by six people who have walked in it under various circumstances.

The "Northern lexicon" is a communication project for the general public, which aims to broaden our general knowledge of northern regions. This first term is contributed by Rachel Guindon, a master's student in biology at Université Laval.

Pre-announcement | Call for projects INQ-SN

Institut nordique du Québec and Sentinel North will jointly launch a call for intersectoral projects in the fall of 2022.

We invite all researchers affiliated with the INQ to mobilize for this upcoming call.

More details on this call will be communicated in the coming months on the INQ website.

Invitation to the Polar Libraries Colloquy

The Université Laval Library will host the 28th Polar Libraries Colloquy June 5 to 12, 2022. Information specialists from Norway, Sweden, Finland, the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada will participate attend this in-person, which will be held under the theme Sharing Polar Cultures and Knowledge: Perspectives from Libraries and Archives.

The conference, which will be held in English, will focus on the contribution of librarians and archivists to the sharing of northern and polar knowledge and cultures.
